My mom has been such a compass to me, sometimes I wonder would I be the person I am in Christ if I didn’t have her as a guide. I can’t say I would’ve came to Christ on my own, I would like to think that I would have, but I honestly don’t know. The thing is, I don’t even care because any true follower of Christ will tell you that this decision is a personal one. It’s not a joke, it’s not something to do, and it’s not that little box that you check next to religious affiliation. It is a lifestyle, He becomes apart of who you are. He is apart of everything you do. He is your focus. My point is the decisions I make, the commandments I honor, are mine. It’s not because I’ve been brainwashed, or because I was raised “that” way. It’s because I’ve tried living without Him. And I’ve come to the realization that life without Him is not even life. Not even close …

You me lift out of the darkness, from shadows into Your presence. Every time I fall, I fall in You. Everything I was I’m not in you. My Savior, my Savior, everlasting One, my healer, redeemer, brighter than the sun. Shine on me forever, reign in me forever. Your love saves me. You are my Savior… Every part of me I give to You, everything I am belongs to You.

Here we are in the air, barely breathing and we’re not afraid to die. Who do we are, baby tell me who do we think we are?
